Learning about his signature strength of Pivoting has given Caspian a way to explain to his clients, that when he plays the devil’s advocate, it leads to much better results in their multi-million dollar marketing campaigns.
As the founder of marketing strategy consultancy ClientMap, Caspian uses his signature strength to help clients challenge the sometimes questionable assumptions underlying their campaigns, prevent costly mistakes and pivot towards better solutions.
In his Strengths at Work video, Caspian says, he loves the “penny drop moment” when a little gentle disagreement leads towards a better campaign, but understands that people can perceive challenging the status quo as being a “downer” and that he needs to use his strength tactically.
“In future I’m going to try and own it,” says Caspian, “and perhaps be a bit more explicit about the value I can add.”
