Learning to Flourish launched its new strengths framework at Diageo’s annual leadership event for graduates in Edinburgh on 27 April, 2015.
At the event, young leaders from Diageo’s European supply business gathered for a day of learning and networking.
Learning to Flourish kicked off proceedings with a session on the psychology of strengths which focuses on growing what’s strong before fixing what’s wrong to push our performance boundaries.
Each leader was challenged to explore their distinctive, authentic and energising talents and how they can use them to deliver Diageo’s performance ambition.
By coffee, everyone was buzzing with the three actions that will drive their leadership to the next level. Commitments ranged from ‘using my strength of scanning to gain fresh insights into potential new roles’ to ‘rewriting my development plan to reflect my strengths rather than my weaknesses’ and ‘stretching my strength of articulating to persuade people to move to Dublin’!
The new framework is based on our trademarked DRIVE model which has five prerequisites for leadership success: Decisions, Responsibility, Influence, Vision and Energy.
I can’t wait to hear about the impact they’re making!
